| | | Why do I get a 'TWAIN Error' when I try to acquire from my scanner/camera ? | Some devices (particularly cameras) require that they are operated through the manufacturer's user interface. DBPix gives the user the choice to use the manufacter's user interface by checking the "Show UI" checkbox in the "TWAIN Acquire" dialog.
If you receive an error message-box stating "A TWAIN error occurred" be sure to check that you have tried acquiring with the box checked.
If the problem persists try acquiring from the source using another TWAIN-capable application, such as Windows Imaging, Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro.
Note that DBPix version 1.0.0.7 fixed a rare problem with some TWAIN drivers on certain system configurations. Check your DBPix Documentation, the dbpix.ocx file's version-information or the DBPix "about" box to determine your version.
